Impak Program Bina Rumah Terhadap Kesejahteraan Sosioekonomi Penerima Bantuan

Abstract

The Housing Assistance Program (PBR) is one of the Social Welfare Development Programs (SPKR). It is a hardcore poverty reduction strategy created as a part of the New Economic Policy (NEP) efforts to reduce poverty. This quantitative study focuses on aid recipients in the Batang Padang district, intending to determine their level of socio-economic well-being. The findings indicate that the PBR has improved the well-being of the district's poor and hardcore poor groups. At the national level, the poverty rate had been lowered from 49.3 percent in 1970 to 8.5 percent in 1999 and 0.2 percent in 2019. Therefore, this study is expected to give ideas to relevant parties on producing a new mechanism for improving the socio-economic well-being of this group.
